Business Students offer to help Small Businesses with Social Media for Free!

Students Latifat Olagoke and Adam Byrne, who are currently in the final year of their Business Management Degree in NUI Maynooth can be seen below in our BOSS Metrics Student Project video asking for small businesses to register their interest in getting some help with their social media from the students using BOSS Metrics.

BOSS Metrics is a social media analytics tool which helps small businesses accelerate their learning and improve their social media. It creates easy to understand reports that offer actionable advice. The software is designed for social media non-experts so that the students can report back to the company.

The students are looking for small businesses to work with to help them on a free experiment to improve their performance in Facebook, Twitter and Google Analytics. If you are interested, you could work with some of these students who will help you as part of a college project.

Ideal participant organisations will be –

– Based near Maynooth or in Dublin
– Probably a SME or part of a small marketing team

Ireland's digital entrepreneurs kick off with their LaunchPad's Lift-Off

NDRC’s fifth LaunchPad Lift Off Investor Day took place last Thursday.

NDRC’s LaunchPad is Ireland’s first innovative platform supporting digital entrepreneurs. To day, NDRC have successfully mentored over 80 ventures through their 12 week tailored programme. At the end of the programme, participants can pitch their projects to high-profile investors to be in with a chance to win a 50,000 investment.

Among participants there have been BOSS Metrics, Popdeem, SlateState and Soundwave, the eventual winner.

BOSS Metrics reaches final of Irish Software Association Investor forum

BOSS Metrics left the NDRC building again last week and got another fantastic reaction!  Our audience this time was the Irish Software Association  Investor forum at IBEC and we got short-listed for the final event on the 10th May!  Pretty exciting to get to pitch in front of 10 investors and get their feedback on our progress to date.

Tracking the Success of B2B Marketing – An infographic by the team at Pardot Marketing Automation complete Technology Transfer research for TSSG

Ireland is rapidly being recognised as a hub of innovation and creativity in the technology sector. This reputation is being built by its thriving university incubation centres who specialise in commercialisation and technology transfer. Recently successfully completed an international feasibility study  to support such a technology transfer project for TSSG,  (Telecommunications Software and Systems Group) an affiliate of Waterford Institute of Technology. The study involved extensive primary research involving candidates in Ireland, UK and US.

Conor Lynch acts as a judge for The Appy Irish Application Awards






Conor Lynch from has recently been judging apps for the 2011 Appy Awards. Conor has been wading through the many applicants trying to decide who is a worthy winner.

This event is designed to honour the best and brightest in Ireland, in the development of applications for smartphones, tablets and social media platforms.  This year’s Appys were launched on September 12th and the award ceremony will take place in the Mansion House, Dublin 2 at 6.30pm on November the 3rd, 2011.
